Meghan Markle's social media timeline
The Duchess of Sussex broke the internet on the first day of 2025
Meghan Markle, the Duchess of Sussex is no stranger to social media. Before she married into the British royal family she ran a successful lifestyle blog called The Tig.
2017 The Tig: The social media lifestyle brand had a little over 3M followers on Instagram when Meghan Markle decided to close it on April 2017. The lifestyle blog made a decent side income for the former Suits actress and it was considered to not have reached its full potential when Meghan closed it when her relationship with Prince Harry was shared with the world.
2017 Kensington Royal: When Prince Harry became engaged to the American actress Meghan Markle in 2017, @KensingtonRoyal began functioning as a shared account for the two couples. It remained as such through Harry and Meghan’s wedding in the spring of 2018 (when they were formally given the titles of Duke and Duchess of Sussex) and for several months beyond.
Until April 2, 2019.
